Basic Pistol
Basic Pistol is for those looking to establish or improve upon the fundamentals of handgun shooting. This class is geared toward both beginning shooters and experienced shooters that want to improve their accuracy. The full day of training contains classroom instruction and live fire on the range. The areas of training will include:
Basics of handgun safety
Fundamentals of handgun functioning, drawing, aiming, and firing
Focused range drills with repetition and skill building to develop good shooting habits
A final proficiency test to put into practice the skills learned
Other items to note:
You must bring a semi-automatic handgun to participate in this class
In addition, you must bring either an appropriate holster or a case to store your firearm in when not on the firing line
Holsters should be of a hard material such as plastic/kydex and have adequate trigger protection
Both OWB and IWB holsters are acceptable
If you don't have access to a handgun, reach out to us and we will see if arrangements can be made
The class is structured around semi-automatic handguns. If you bring your own revolver, you will be able to participate, however many of the drills will not be applicable to revolvers
Students must be at least 18 years old*
Unless juvenile student is accompanied by parent/guardian that can participate and sign the class waiver
A total of 200 rounds is recommended for the live fire exercises
The cost is $150 per student
Class sizes are limited for safety and to give maximum training time to each student
Class location is outside of Ault, CO unless otherwise listed
